EHR Software US is an independent editorial resource for U.S. medical practices navigating electronic health record software. This page explains how we source, write, and correct our guides.
What we rely on
Where we describe rules, certification, or incentive programs, we link directly to primary sources: HealthIT.gov, HHS.gov, and CMS.gov. We do not restate a vendor's marketing claim as fact without an independent way to verify it.
How we build our guides
Our explainers and selection guidance are organized around the regulatory and practical questions a practice needs to answer — certification status, incentive program eligibility, interoperability, and fit for practice type — rather than around ranking named products. We do not sell software, accept vendor sponsorship for editorial coverage, or publish paid reviews.
Corrections
Found an error — a broken source link, an outdated regulatory reference, or a factual mistake? Tell us and we correct it. Use the contact page to reach us.
Update cadence
Articles are reviewed periodically and updated when a cited rule or program changes. Each article notes when it was last updated.
Independence
